Michigan Summer Camp

Join us for one or two weeks of language learning and cooking practice! Students 3rd - 5th grade (ages 6-10)

 

Mornings (9am-12pm) will be focused on Spanish language, each day focusing on a children’s book from a country in Latin America, and students will acquire language and cultural knowledge through hands-on activities (games, crafts, music, dance). 

 

Lunch will be served from 12pm-1pm and will be catered by KC Catering. Family members of the campers (parents, siblings, grandparents) can join us for Spanish conversation lunch by ordering through KC Catering ($20 per additional person per day).

 

Afternoons (1-4pm) will focus on language and cooking, learning how to prepare traditional foods from the specified country of the day. 

Cost: $400 per student/week

 

Week 1: The Caribbean & Mexico, Monday-Thursday, July 10-13

Join us for a week in the Caribbean & Mexico, where we will explore the cultures of Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.  Our daily activities (games, songs, crafts, food) will be based on a book from one of these countries. All Spanish and English ability levels are welcome!

 

Week 2: Central America & South America, Monday-Thursday, July 17-20

Join us for a week in Central & South America, where we will explore the cultures of Costa Rica, Argentina, Perú and Ecuador.  Our daily activities (games, songs, crafts, food) will be based on a book from one of these countries. All Spanish and English ability levels are welcome!
