Anne

Owner, Viva La Librería

Anne holds a PhD in Spanish with a specialization in contemporary Latin American Literature from the University of Virginia. Currently, she is a Teaching Professor of Spanish at Franklin & Marshall College and the Coordinator of Spanish Community-Based Learning and Community Outreach. Anne has taught at the college, university, and high school levels, and coordinates the “Fun & Learn in Latin America” after-school program at Fulton Elementary School. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Latin American Alliance since 2019, and serves on the Lancaster City Human Relations Commission Advisory Council. Anne is also a certified Spanish-English medical interpreter (CHI™). In her spare time, Anne enjoys exploring new parts of her adopted hometown of Lancaster, participating in book clubs, taking classes at the YMCA, and singing in the church choir.

The mission of Viva La Librería is to provide a space for cross-cultural interaction. We value the contributions of all of our community members, and strive to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. We welcome speakers of any form or proficiency level of Spanish (and Spanglish!) to share with us.
